This chapter focuses on the electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectrum of thediamond-polymer composite materials - the so called buckypaper - which are currentlybeing studied for various optoelectronic applications. We discuss the results of recentEPR investigation of the carbon nanotubes. We have shown that the EPR spectra ofthe nanotubes, which we investigated, are highly sensitive and can be explainedform a model involving the spin density on carbon atoms that are near the tube wall. Thisallows us to quantify the fraction of carbon atoms near the tube wall. Thus, theEPR spectra of the carbon nanotubes obtained are used to estimate the structuralproperties of the carbon nanotubes, such as their aspect ratio. The results areexcellent agreement with both the scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmissionelectron microscopy (TEM) observations.
A review of electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy is presented here,with an emphasis on EPR studies of point defects in nanodiamonds. Basic EPR terminologyand concepts, including the resonances of the various defects, are presented. The EPRresponse of the defects and their relation to the physical properties of nanodiamondsare examined. A survey of the EPR characteristics of the defective nanodiamonds isgiven, along with the possibilities of improving the defect density in nanodiamonds. Thediscussion is focused on the application of EPR in nanodiamonds for various purposes includingquantum optics, magnetometry, and optoelectronic devices.

I am running a PC with Windows 7 and Adobe Photoshop CS6. I am wondering how to end the trial period and convert to a full copy of Photoshop CS6. I tried closing down Photoshop, which produced a message telling me to return the disk. I did that, but the same message returned. How can I end this?
Hi Dave,I was able to get my English Indesign CS6 to switch to German. But there is one Problem. The moment I startet Indesign there is the error message that my trial version ends soon altough I bougt a regular Version with correct serial number by an adobe seller. Can anybody help me? 827ec27edc
